Registration opens Dec 1 @ 8pm

Well, this is interesting. We seem to find ourselves just under a week out from the opening of Pick Your Poison 2023 registration. Put it in your calendar, Dec 1, 2022 @ 8pm the button on Race Roster switches from "Opening Soon" to "You're Crazy and We Love You, Sign Up Here."

Deferral?

If you've deferred, you can make sure you're on our list by hitting up the registration page and clicking on the participant list (scroll down a bit and look at the right side of the page.) There's 55 of you guys and you're already registered so no additional activity is needed.

Why Do You Guys Call it Pick Your Poison?

It should probably be called "Pick Your Suffer" but here we are on our 13th year, and it is what it is. We have 3 options, a 12.5k, a 25k, and "a day in the woods" aka, the 50k. That's 1 loop, 2 loops or 4 loops. None of these formats are easy as each loop is 385m (1,250 feet) of climb and that is quite unheard of in Ontario. Resist the urge to go inside that warm Heights of Horseshoe building and if you finish the race you signed up for you get the prestigious finisher socks. So go ahead - Pick Your Poison!

Contest Draw for Free Entry, Nov 30, live at 8pm

We figure you need to know if you've won a free entry before you pay for one, so we're holding the draw live the day before. We've had some great posts in our #BragYourSwag contest. Right now, those who posted a pic of themselves in our gear and tagged us on Instagram or Facebook got entered into our contest. With three race entries to give away there is currently a 1 in 4 chance for those folks to win. There's still a chance to get in on this contest. We've had entrants post from Cambodia, Hawaii, Germany, Tel Aviv, Vietnam and Columbia but it can be in your own back yard. Just put on the socks, shirt or hold the glass, post yourself online and tag our accounts to be entered. Nobody has posted with a Sue Sitki Soap Creations in the shower yet, which would also get you an entry (family friendly shot of course)

Volunteers Needed

Ain't it the truth! Volunteers are at the heart of ultra-races. It's early still but if you love being a part of the race so much you can't wait to serve up shots of pickle juice to keep that runner headed towards the finish line, reach out to our race director Rhonda and she'll get your contact details. Email Rhonda@PickYourPoison.ca

Lots more to come so thanks for all those who signed up for email updates! You guys are the best. We look forward to registration opening and another year of epic finishes!
