šŸ…æļøā˜ ļøšŸ…æļø 2026 Registration Opens Soon

In the immortal words of Douglas Adams, "Don't Panic."

šŸ…æļøā˜ ļøšŸ…æļø 2025 sold out within an hour of registration opening, so if you're looking to join us next spring running up and down muddy hills in the Copeland forest, we recommend the following approach to ensure registration success.

Step 1.

Be ready with the Race Roster URL for the event.

Little Katie's Tip: If you don't have a Race Roster account, now's a great time to get that out of the way. On registration day, it will help if you can just sign in and jump right to registration.

Step 2.

Let the family know that on Monday, December 1st at 8:00pm you have a very important engagement and that you cannot be disturbed for 15 minutes at 8:00pm on Monday night. Put it on the family calendar.

Step 3.

Now set an alarm. Make sure the alarm goes off 15 minutes before 8:00pm so you can get your phone/laptop ready. The alarm should be titled, "Don't miss registering for the hilliest spring trail race in Ontario." and should be set for 7:45pm on December 1st.

Step 4.

Now you can relax. Allow this moment of panic to move through you. Tell your internal fight or flight response mechanism that it can back down for now.

What Happens Next?

December 1st at 7:45pm - an alarm goes off. You calmly close the door to your home office and the noise of the evening family shenanigans fades into the distance. You calm your breathing, get in the zone, and pull up the Race Roster page that you bookmarked last week. At 8:00pm, with calm steady hands and deep breaths, you hit refresh (important step.) Your distance of choice now shows a clickable button to begin the registration process. A "shirt size" and "dietary preference" choice later, and you let out a huge exhale - you realize you've been unconsciously holding your breath. A message pops up on your screen confirming, "Registration Successful."

In the living room, your family sits, anxiously awaiting the news. The door to the home office opens slowly and you walk out tentatively, your legs shaking ever so slightly, still in disbelief. "So?" they all hound in chorus. "I got in...." you say quietly at first, then louder, with confidence, "I GOT IN!" Your family cheers, jumps up and down, somebody knocks over a drink. but who cares - you'll be running šŸ…æļøā˜ ļøšŸ…æļø in the spring, rain or shine or snow or sleet and training all winter long! You start to realize the implications of this, but it's too late, you picked your poison and now.... well, let's see what the winter has in store for all of us. šŸ…æļøā˜ ļøšŸ…æļø
